SunGen Farm Log | Week Ending Feb 27, 2026
This week felt like a turning point in the field.
The watermelon and cucumber rows have officially made way for more tomatoes. We are leaning into what the land is giving us and what our customers are asking for. The tomato beds are expanding, and the plants are holding strong.
There has been a little pest pressure, a few battle scars on some fruit, but the harvest is still coming in steady. We are pulling everything from firm green tomatoes to rich orange and deep red fruit, boxes that show the full journey from vine to table.
Sweet potatoes are in a beautiful window right now. Yellow and orange flesh, pulling out in a mix of small, medium, and solid, hearty sizes. The smaller and medium grades will sit nicely on retail shelves. The larger ones are made for roasting trays and hotel kitchens.
Bora continues to be reliable. Fresh picking this week, more coming Monday.
We are preparing to install our storage unit next week, foundations already in place. It is a small but important step toward tightening operations and keeping everything cleaner, sharper, and more efficient as we grow.
Weekly availability numbers will now go out every Monday.
The field is moving.
